Has anyone seen the match to this mitten? Or a pink fleece glove? Or a pair of knit red mittens? If you could look through your child's snow gear to see if any of these items can be located, it would be appreciated!

Fifteen children are dressing in and out of their snow gear at the same time, and trying to be as independent as possible when putting their items away. As you can imagine, there is a LOT of snow gear being moved all around the cubby area and it is easy for things get misplaced.  It is a huge time saver if all snow gear items are labeled with your child's name, and it also increases the likelihood that items will be returned to their owner. We truly appreciate your help, because it's so fun when we finally get outside to play in the snow!

During the month of January, we will be studying Arctic and Polar Animals.

We will be seeking answers to these essential questions:

*What is the Arctic?
*How is the Arctic different from where we live?

Students will learn about animals that live in the North and South Pole. We will also be using the globe to help students identify where the North Pole and South Pole are located.

To research this topic, we will be exploring many non-fiction texts. We look forward to sharing many fascinating facts about these amazing areas of our world.
